Sports school for all is back
With the new school year, free training has resumed in Jarmina for nearly 40 children aged 4 to 10.
Training for Sports school for all has started again in Jarmina with the new school year. Sportancija runs the programme throughout 2026, with co-financing from the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Municipality of Jarmina.
It is for girls and boys aged 4 to 10. Nearly 40 children are in two age groups, and training is free. They try several sports, develop motor skills and coordination, and build a habit of regular movement.
Over the summer the children also joined a swimming school at the pool in Vinkovci for the first time. The aim is not to raise professional athletes, but to let children grow up well through sport: activity sits alongside togetherness, respect, responsibility, persistence and fair play. Two kinesiologists lead the sessions, with workshops from specialist associates.
Programme lead Tony says children should come to training with joy, grow a love of movement, and pick up values that matter off the pitch as well. The return to training comes just as they spend most of the day at school and kindergarten.
